Do you ever feel tired, but push through trying to complete everything anyhow?

Only to find yourself feeling frustrated that you didn’t get as much done as you had hoped and actually feel even more exhausted?

That’s what happened to my client last week.

She was struggling with feeling tired.

 
To her, feeling tired meant she was lazy, fat and old.

And this frustrated her.

She was hoping to make herself feel better and used food and caffeine to help her.

But it didn’t work.

The problem was, she was resisting the signals her body was giving her to pause and rest.


And she thought the only way to feel better was if she changed the circumstance (being tired).

But she was wrong.

The fact was – her body was tired and she was resisting it.
 
So I asked her…

”What if your body knew exactly what it needed to stay active and young? Is it possible that it is telling you that it needs rest in order to feel that way?”

After considering that perspective, she felt relieved and was more comfortable honouring herself with rest.

Which allowed her to recharge and resulted in getting more done.

Which made her feel better!

She didn’t need to STOP feeling tired to feel better.

She needed to honour herself when she felt tired in order to feel better!
